Do you need a Maine registered agent?
Most basically, a Registered Agent is an individual or entity that maintains a street address (Post Office Boxes are not acceptable) within Maine and who is willing to accept Service of Process on behalf of the business entity.
In most cases, resident companies (businesses located within Maine) will typically have a member or representative of the Maine business entity serve as the Registered Agent, and therefore 'third-party' registered agent service is not required. However, if you do not currently maintain a street address within the state of Maine, our professional registered Agent service is a valuable, if not necessary option.
Can I update or amend my Maine small business?
Once your newly formed Maine entity is created and established at the state level, it is possible to amend, change or modify various aspects of the filing. In many cases, a business will outgrow the original name (such as including more services, adding additional member names, etc.) and will want to change the name. This is of course possible through the filing of Articles of Amendment, and we can certainly assist you at any time with the filing of this document. This filing will also allow the business to change addresses, and other information that may need to be modified.
One thing for certain, we will make your new Maine small business entity flexible, and allow you AND your business to grow.
