Establishing an Indiana Limited Liability Company (Indiana LLC) is created by filing Articles of Organization with the Indiana Secretary of State's office in Indianapolis. Naming your new Indiana LLC
The name of each Indiana limited liability company must contain the words "limited liability company" or either of the following abbreviations "L.L.C."; or "LLC"; The name of the LLC may contain the name of a member or manager. The entity name must distinguish itself with other names of LLCs or other business entities either registered or reserved that are found in the records of the office of the secretary of state. A limited liability company may apply to the secretary of state to use a name that is not distinguishable upon the secretary of state's only be consent of the LLC that is in conflict.
